RemyPro
RemyPro N70, a high-value protein source
New process technologies can improve the nutritional value of food industry by-products. These technologies applied to rice could provide new ingredients with interesting crude protein contents. RemyPro N70 shows an interesting nutrient content, i.e., around 68% total protein and 10% ether extract. This protein value is higher than most other plant nutrient sources. The use of rice protein has been evaluated in aquaculture (rainbow trout and sea bream diets) as well as in young livestock diets, predominantly in weaner pig diets. In diets for trout and sea bream it has been shown that up to 20% rice protein concentrate can be included to replace fish meal without affecting growth performance or fillet quality.
Rice protein might be a useful and cost-effective alternative to milk protein for early weaned piglets. Studies suggest that up to 10% rice protein concentrate can be successfully used to replace dried whey. In another experiment for 5 weeks with 21day-old piglets no significant differences were observed in ADG and FCR when Soy Protein Concentrate was substituted with RPC up to 9%.
RemyPro N70 is a also good protein source for petfood, being safe, readily digestible and very palatable.
