Remy LiVe®, a nutritious ingredient

Rice is known as a wholesome cereal grain with qualities that make it ideally suited for special dietary needs. Remy LiVe® is an innovative ingredient, designed for a number of specific feed applications containing all the nutritional power of rice in condensed form.

Remy LiVe® is rice bran, specifically stabilized to ensure the conservation of its high nutritional qualities. It contains the outer brown layer of the rice kernel, consisting of the rice germ (embryo) and several sub-layers. This bran is then further stabilized by a heat treatment and upgraded to result in RemyLiVe®.

Containing mainly complex carbohydrates, such as hemicellulose, starch, cellulose and β-glucans, Remy LiVe® has an excellent balance between insoluble and soluble fibers. This stimulates a healthy function of the digestive system.
The protein fraction of Remy Live® is characterized by an attractive amino-acid composition and excellent digestibility.

Since the rice germ is included in RemyLive®, the product has a high fat-content. Rice oil is widely recognised for its unique nutritional properties. It is enriched in mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids. 80 % of the total fatty acids are made up of oleic and linoleic acids.

Remy LiVe® is also a rich source of vitamins and natural anti-oxidants. Besides the typical rice gamma-oryzanol, it contains high levels of vitamin E complex and ferulic acid. High levels of B-complex vitamins are also present in the product.
