Calves

To stimulate the feed intake of calves,highly energetic but above all palatable ingredients are needed. BeneoCarb S is a high-energy honey-like sugar syrup. The functional dissaccharides in the syrup limit the glucogenic response.  Rice flours are also readily digestible sources of starch and energy as well as having anti diarrhoeatic effect.

A readily digestible source of protein is of major importance in feeds for young animals.  The rice protein RemyPro is famous for its interesting amino-acid profile and is therefore widely used in young animal nutrition. 

We also offer vital wheat gluten as a highly concentrated source of protein, rich in glutamine.  Obtaining good intestinal health is also a key success factor for calf husbandry.  In the preruminants calf the prebiotic inulin and oligofructose help to stabilize the intestinal microflora and results in better intestinal health and fewer gastro-intestinal problems.  In older calves the Innofiber range offers a blend of fibers that are readily fermented and in which the residual inulin is a good stimulant of rumen development, especially for rearing calves.

Cows

As for calves, increasing energy intake in dairy cows is an issue of major importance. Not only will it lead to increased production after partus, it may also limit the effects of the negative energy balance. For these animals, BeneoCarb S is the ideal ingredient to stimulate energy intake. Mixed in TMR or administered on-top, this sugar syrup increases palatability and energy content of the ration. Due to the specific nature of these sugars the risk of acidosis is also reduced, making it the ideal energy supplement.

Energy supply in the rumen is often limited for high-protein grass rations.  Innofiber can be a valuable and palatable source of fermentable fibers, increasing efficiency for these rations. The high content of readily fermentable cell walls makes it is a good source of energy for the rumen, compensating high protein levels in the ration.  Innofiber can also have a positive effect on productivity of the total ration in corn-based diets low in fermentable organic matter.  Innofiber can be offered in a dried pellet-form or as pressed pulps.
